JD Ardell

Co-Founder and Managing Partner

Prior to founding Dahlia, JD spent 9 years at Thoma Bravo where he focused on IT infrastructure software investments. As a board member and observer for 11 Thoma Bravo portfolio companies including Calabrio, ConnectWise, and Flexera, JD helped drive profitable growth initiatives across functional groups. He applies those same value creation principles to Dahlia’s investment strategy.

JD graduated from Brown University with an honors degree in Business, Entrepreneurship and Organizations. He was captain of the Men’s Golf team and teammates with John. JD lives in San Francisco with his wife, daughter and dog. Outside of Dahlia, JD enjoys attending Arizona Cardinals games, playing golf and taking walks with his daughter.

John Giannuzzi

Prior to founding Dahlia, John spent 13 years at Goldman Sachs where he led the application software team within Goldman Sachs Asset Management’s growth equity business. As a board member and observer for 13 Goldman Sachs portfolio companies, including Automation Anywhere, LLamasoft, and Sprout Social, John helped companies grow from initial customer use cases into strategic adjacencies and new markets.

John graduated from Brown University with degrees in Economics and History. He was captain of the Men’s Golf team and teammates with JD. John lives in San Francisco with his wife and dog. Outside of Dahlia, John is a Cessna-172 pilot and curator of an extensive library of historical golf documents and artifacts.
